By accessing or using the Chesapeake Latheworks, LLC website at chesapeakelatheworks.com (the "Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Site. These terms apply to all visitors, inquirers, and anyone who places an order or contacts us through the Site.

2. About Our Services

Chesapeake Latheworks, LLC is a custom woodworking studio based in Easton, Maryland, specializing in architectural wood turnings including porch posts, newel posts, balusters, finials, bed posts, table legs, and historic replication work. All products are custom-made to order.

Submission of a contact form or project inquiry does not constitute a binding order. A project is formally accepted only upon our written confirmation and agreement on specifications, pricing, and timeline.

3. Custom Orders & Deposits

Because all work is custom-fabricated to your specifications, orders typically require a deposit before work begins. Deposit amounts and payment schedules will be communicated in writing prior to production. By confirming an order, you agree to the quoted pricing and specifications.

Changes to specifications after production has begun may result in additional charges or delays. We will communicate any such changes to you before proceeding.

4. Returns & Cancellations

Because our products are custom-made, we do not accept returns on completed pieces that were manufactured to your approved specifications. If a piece arrives damaged or does not match confirmed specifications, please contact us within 7 days of receipt and we will work with you to make it right.

Order cancellations prior to production may be subject to forfeit of the deposit depending on materials already sourced. We will communicate cancellation terms at the time of order confirmation.

5. Shipping

We ship completed pieces nationwide from our shop in Easton, Maryland. Shipping costs, transit times, and carrier options will be quoted and agreed upon before shipping. We are not responsible for delays caused by shipping carriers, weather, or circumstances beyond our control once a piece has been handed off to the carrier in good condition.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on this Site — including text, photographs, design elements, and the Chesapeake Latheworks name and logo — is the property of Chesapeake Latheworks, LLC and is protected by applicable copyright and trademark law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content from this Site without our prior written permission.

7. Accuracy of Information

We make every effort to ensure the information on this Site is accurate and up to date, but we make no warranties about the completeness, accuracy, or reliability of any content. Product capabilities, pricing, and availability are subject to change without notice. Always confirm current specifications with us directly.

8. Limitation of Liability
